How's it Going

I am starting to realize that I need to learn to cook. I have expermenting with this recipie for flour tortillas at Hillbilly Housewife and getting pretty good at baking them. Tortillas are something I can never find cheap enough at the grocery even with coupons.

  1. what's cheap for you? I need to learn to make as well, but aldi sells them for $1 where I'm at and that's pretty decent to me.

  2. are you using half whole wheat? i know the whole grain tortillas are a little more expensive ($1.34 at kroger i think, and that may be sale price), but i don't shop at aldi.

  4. Well, the problem is I had coupons for Misson tortillas and got hooked on thier whole wheat and haven't been happy with any other brand since. They put out more coupons but not for the ones we like. These are REALLY good and we actually like them better. They are half whole wheat and half white. But I could use any flour I want in this recipie. They do take time but the kids don't mind making them so its not a big deal between us. We really like bread here and somehow homemade tortillas make a otherwise cheap meal seem special.
